    SkiMojo

Posted by Kim Harris on 11th Aug 2022

Bought the Mojo to reduce stress on the knees after a knee replacement. Overall very happy, it did reduce stress on the knee and even been very out of condition it helped me stay on the slopes for most of the day, certainly a lot longer than I thought I would last. (but legs still get tired, can't fix unfit) Tried a few times not engaging the Mojo, legs were feeling it by half way down the run. First couple of days to start with it did feel a bit of a Faff, with putting it on in the morning, getting it sitting right, with ski pants in the way etc and the switching on and off when skiing, but once I got used to it it was no problem. Just became part of getting dressed, got the right order of putting things on really didnt take much longer. Switching the Mojo on and off also became second nature (and not a problem if you did forget) overall very happy with the result, probably a better outcome than I could have hoped for. Still able to ski and now pain free.

    What a god send!

This is absolutely going to save my bacon on future ski trips as a telemarker. But before I get into how good this product is, I should first state that I don't find the device very useful for my telemarking stance / style. So why is this going to save my bacon. There are two key problems with being a telemarker. 1) It is physcially very demanding, and when the legs say no at the end of the day, they mean NO! 2) Switching from doing telemarking turns to doing parallel turns does not actually ease the loads on the legs as the heel is free. It just uses some different muscles. The combination of 1 & 2 presents a problem, when one still has severl hundred meters of vertical of black / double black / backcountry terring to ski before reaching the bottom. The ski mojo takes a lot of load off my tired legs and allows me to easily parallel turn down the hill.

    Overall Effectiveness

Posted by Ross Agostino on 12th Aug 2021

Took a few outings to get the settings right but once set right, it was comfortable. As for spring load, I felt the load was a bit too light for my weight (110kg) despite dialling up tension to max. The engagement switch was easy to use through the ski pants. Overall, a great product which has been well thought out and engineered but need more time to determine the effectiveness of the tensioning to suit my weight.

    Ski Mojo Gold

I have had some ongoing painful knee problems after many injuries and surgeries. After a lot of research, I decided to try the Ski Mojo. I ski mostly at Hotham but I was recommended to visit the Kiewa Valley Snowsports for a fitting. Simon was amazing, he really knew the product well and fitted it perfectly. I am 60 this year, but now I am back skiing moguls on the black runs like I was 20, and I can ski all day with no pain. I highly recommend Simon and the Ski Mojo.

    Absolutely Fantastic!

Posted by Sue P on 16th Feb 2020

Just had my first day skiing using ski mojo ... and it is absolutely fantastic!! I was a bit concerned it would be complicated to put on and use etc however it is just so easy. As an older female skier who tended to tire quickly and find any excuse to go home, I’m now so much more comfortable plus skiing for longer ... and have no aches and pains. Thanks also to Tim who was very helpful and answered my numerous emails when I was setting it up.

    Gold Ski Mojo

Posted by Rob on 7th Jan 2020

Just returning from a week skiing in austria. What a pleasant surprise, I have bin skiing 6 fulltime days. Las year I could only managed to ski halve a day whith one day rest in the middle. knee injury: torn cruciate ligament and both menisci removed. First day You have to get used to the skimojo. For me the problem was that I installed it about 2 cm. to long, witch made it hard to stay low. But after adjusting the length and mounting the rodblockers it went smoothly. Of course, fluid appeared in my knee after a few days, but it has not prevented me from having a wonderful ski holiday. I reccomend Skimojo!

Normally my knees feel like concrete after a days skiing, but not any more after using Ski Mojo at Perisher last weekend. I can now book my trip to Chamonix for next year without worrying about whether my knees will hold up
